Leash Higgins

Leash is an Associate Software Engineer at SeidrLab, bringing a grounding in real-world business operations to her work in software and AI. She spent over 8 years in retail business management, including Store Manager roles at Vodafone Hutchison Australia and Lush Cosmetics, before making a deliberate transition into software engineering and AI. The decision was not accidental: it was driven by genuine curiosity about where technology is heading and a close-up view of how it reshapes the businesses it touches.

Over the past 17 months she has been intensively upskilling in software engineering under the direct mentorship of the SeidrLab founding team. Her completed certifications include AI Agent Fundamentals v2 (Frontend Masters), React and Next.js (Codecademy), and Building with Claude API (Anthropic). The Anthropic course marked a turning point in her understanding of applied AI and the practical possibilities of building with large language models.

Leash brings a grounded business operator’s perspective that translates well to client-facing work. She understands how organisations run at ground level, which shapes how she thinks about where AI fits, where it does not, and what it takes to get adoption to stick. Practical, people-focused, and genuinely curious about systems and processes.
